There no getting around it, constructing anything in the river environment is a messy business. A lot of our effort goes into ways to reduce temporary impacts but when you get down to it, effecting river processes in a large river requires one to think and act big. This usually means while we do what you can to reduce and minimize impacts, you ultimately have to break a few eggs to make that omelet.
