Crows (probably Rooks) on the Telegraph Poles

Today and tomorrow I am staying at the Chevin Country Park Hotel in Otley. The occasion is the annual meeting of the Council of Heads of Built Environment, Executive Group (not quite as grand as it may sound). I arrived early, yesterday and have been for a walk around the local countryside. This photo is early evening and these crows caught my eye (at least I think they were crows). I realised that I don't very often see telegraph wires like this any more and the birds stood out agains the darkening sky. It was almost sinister. My second photo was the one I was intending to use. Taken in the morning, it's the winding path I was walking along.
