Just because the word "weed' is in the name people think it is a noxious weed.  Lots of farmers have all but obliterated it from their roadsides. Thus the monarchs are suffering.
It is considered (by some) to be irresponsible to allow one's
milkweed seeds to escape like this... I will be wishing the wee babies "godspeed' in the coming days. And may the force be with you.



A big surprise. The blipgod has allowed me an Extra photo today so I will post the runner up choice of part of the growing hedgerow in the slanting sunset light.
The bright yellow leaves are cercis (redbud tree), the shedding black pine in front, and a purple smoke bush in back. This group has surprised me in its growth. I do not usually visit back in this back side garden.
