By the book...

The 2 herds away to the Blackface tup sale at Lanark ,so Land Rover less today. Spent the day hauling bullocks home for the winter,but had to put the stock box onto a tractor,so the 5 loads took a bit longer for the 10 mile round trip each time.
Came across an old book while clearing out a bookcase the other day. It was called 'A complete system of nursing' by A Millicent Ashdown,and dates from 1924 when my Granny was a trainee nurse. The rules on the first chapter made me smile,and some of the methods and equipment look medieval by today's standards.
