Stubborn

This pigeon was squatting in my driveway when I left for work this morning and was not inclined to move. I got out of the car and walk towards it, expecting it to fly away, but it still just casually walked around. Finally it at least walked to the edge of the drive so I could pass without incident. It looks to me like there are bands on its legs (not as noticeable at this angle) but I have no idea how or why that would be.

I spent an hour in the waiting room of the car service garage and found out there are a few things that I need to take care of before the winter weather arrives. Not the greatest news, but manageable.
