Newly born calf!

Photographing along the Leeds & Liverpool canal, we came across a cow collapsed at the side of the canal having just given birth to its calf.
Lots of farmers, vet, etc. were trying to move the cow from the towpath up a 10 metre slope to a field. They were using ropes, straps, chains & a JCB!
It took 3 hrs. and even in the field the cow was still collapsed.
The farmer asked if I would like to stroke the new calf and as soon as I did the cow mooed and stood up to a great cheer.
