The Phoenix Rises

Kyle sunset

A glorious day of ferry crossing, Fairy pools and Katy's visit to A+E.

To start the day with  a cooked breakfast was a good decision. We did quite a bit before we had afternoon cuppa and snack in Portree. The Fairy pools were busy and we were nearing the end of the season. What on earth was it like at the height of the summer?

Marion made it to the bottom of the pools and strolled back up the hill to wait for us. She knows when to stop and when to go. Now I know where her girls get their strength from.

After Katy was pronounced fit and given a splint for her bashed hand, she and her parents joined us for the traditional Kyle Fish and chip supper.

The sun was setting and it was getting chilly, but the fish was gorgeous.

Ally and I had to head off to see Chrissie and Y, so we could put up a curtain rail for them. We ended up mending torches, sewing trousers and Ally even fixed a wonky light. By the time we left them, our halos were shining. By the time we got to the house, the rest were glowing.

We were sober, but not too long.

A very good day in the Glen.

As aye
