Can't spend a penny here any more

On my run along the beach this morning I saw one of the new bus shelters being installed proudly emblazoned with a sign telling me that Edinburgh City was investing in our city.

Immediately behind it was this notice on the public conveniences that have now become an inconvenience in order to make vital savings of £300,000.

Something does not add up here and I also notice that JCDecaux seem to be joint/sole investors in the bus shelters.

I hope no cross-legged punter is forced to use the bus shelter in lieu of the loo!
