The Old Windmills
An old favourite in the evening sun along with the Pontikokastro. The Pontikokastro is thought to be a prehistoric barrow or burial mound. The local myth says that this is the grave of Nireus, son of Aglaea and Charops. He was the king of Symi and fought for the Greeks during the Trojan war, providing three ships. He was killed by Eurypylos.
