The Walk

This walkway is the public access to the beach at Holden Beach, NC.  The walkways are needed since the folks who own houses on the beach would block all access unless the public walkways were scattered between the oceanfront homes.  The bridge in the distance is in the extra photo. It is not an amusement park ride, but a highway bridge crossing the Intracoastal Waterway.  If the bridge had been constructed in a straight line, the beach side end would have been too close to the ocean and the bridge itself would have looked like an inverted V.
