Near Porthcurno
I walked with my friend the second part of today's coastal footpath walk, from Porthcurno to Lamorna while our partners started from Sennen Cove. They did of course catch up with us but we were just ambling along.
It was another glorious sunny day and the sea was a brilliant turquoise and deep blue. We walked up and down the headlands and coves passing through small fishing hamlets, through a small woodland with exotic plants including tree ferns and bananas growing in the gardens of adjacent properties. Butterflies were flying around and if it wasn't for the blackberries out you could imagine it was spring as so many wild flowers were present violets, campion, thrift and honeysuckle.
We surprised a group of small ponies at the top of an Iron Age fort and took numerous photos of the dramatic rocks. This shot was taken at the start of the trip somewhere near to Porthcurno.
