First Light

Actually, it was about 9 o'clock when we teed off at the first this morning but the sun was still pretty low in the sky and casting an interesting light across the course.

In the picture are our friends and golfing partners, Dave (right), who is still battling cancer of the oesophagus, having been through both radio- and chemotherapy this year, and Russell, who is in remission from bowel cancer having had an op last year.

It was good to have 5 of our regular group of 6, all former teaching colleagues, playing today ( there always seems to be at least one of us on holiday) and it was a sparkling morning for it: a shame our golf didn't match the weather!

I know it's a fairly fuzzy image but I liked the light and the way it shows Dave & Russell's fighting spirit (and they both got better scores than me!)
