The NNE wind got to gusting to 38 mph this afternoon. I dug some vegetable beds and generally tidied up. Then went for a walk around the circuit. There was a sailing barge battling against the wind out in the Strait. A bloke who ghosted by me said it had been there for hours. But I couldn't find it on Marine Traffic.

I saw an undulating line of Brent Geese low over the water heading north - probably for Pegwell Bay or the Thames Estuary and a lone Wheatear in the full blast of the cold wind on the shoulder of the headland.
