Rowans after the first frost

I spent much of the day - which I was meant to have off - working on issues surrounding the proposed draconian cuts in Council spending that Argyll & Bute are trying to foist on my constituents.  

But the sun was shining, even if there was a chill in the air and the first frost of the autumn last night.   So late on this afternoon I had a little wander and saw these rowan berries which are already past ripe.  

And the nights are fair drawing in....
