Summer's Last Smile

Crazy New England weather!  I woke to rain (sorely needed), then thick fog rolled in, blanketing everything in a grey shroud, then the sun burned through, and it's still shining intermittently through broken clouds. 

In a few days, the pool will be closed up for the season.  Walking past it this morning, I was struck by the pretty, lacy shadows cast on the bottom by drifts of leaves that are floating on the surface.  So long, summer -- you flew by!
