Early morning, Lake Tekapo

I wasn't expecting today to be too promising.  I heard rain during the night, it was overcast when we woke up, and the forecast was not good.  However, the cloud cleared, sun broke through, and we had a superb day.  This is the view from the lakeshore, just below where we are staying.

We cycled a way up towards the Roundhill ski field road without seeing a single vehicle.  It is quiet here this time of year.  Even the carpark by the Church of the Good Shepherd, a prime tourist attraction, has had barely half a dozen cars parked most of the time we've been here.
