Source of Frustration

I've been trying to get this old printer working again. I'm 99% sure the printer itself is fine, but the drivers to use it from Linux are not. When I last had it connected to a Windows 2000 machine it seemed to print fine (and despite Win2K being old, that wasn't very long ago -- a few months, I think). So now I'm looking at hooking it up to an old Win2K machine which lacks any kind of connectivity other than "sneakernet" and using that to print documents. That eliminates much of the convenience, but at least I'll be able to move forward with a project I want to try.
