Front page "news"

Chose this because it is incredible, front page, breaking news!
That is a "veiled" foto of our recently elected Governor who won the election largely due to his rhetoric about open government and transparency and "restoring faith and confidence"  - ha!   Well, today he says "logistics and semantics have gotten in the way  of his early promises for more government transparency".  We did expect  ..  more.

But good news, below the fold :   State completely drought-free  . .  for the first time in 7-1/2 years!  However, this situation is not expected to last; El Nino is expected to dig in for winter with unseasonably warm days and drought which might last into spring.  Tropical Storm Nora continues to strengthen, but is expected to be downgraded again as she rolls northward.   However, Tropical Storm Oho, brushing by us, went northward to cause heavy flooding in Alaska.  Today humidity is at 76%, hot and muggy weather, and rain backing up the mountains.   Might go see if the puddles are still there tomorrow.

Happy Discovers' Day/ Columbus Day to some of us.
