Another Beautiful Morning

This was the sunrise this morning. It looked like this for a few minutes and then went dark again. Later there was a different kind of light magic but this one was more exciting. It is worth looking at the large version which is much more detailed than the one shown here.

I spent the day in a class on extreme impasto. I finished the painting called "Day's End" that I was revising using the information I got in the abstract painting class. Trish suggested I use the same painting for the impasto class so I did. Impasto means thick paint and that is what I applied to the bedspread and chair areas of the painting.
