Ovipositing Common Hawker

Visited the Big Wood at West Saltoun in between feeding my daughter's cats and found loads of dragonflies! Included this female Common Hawker laying her eggs into the vegetation soup below her. Pity about that blade of grass in front of her face. She was holding on tight. Also saw loads of grasshoppers (see extra) with markings resembling funny faces.
