Party time....

....1940's style!  this evening we celebrated my elder daughter's 30th birthday with a 1940s themed party.  I think it is safe to say that a great time was had by all - even me, once the party had begun and I felt that I could relax a little!
Our setting was  'a village hall, somewhere in Essex, circa 1943' and all our guests dressed appropriately, wearing the most wonderful outfits.  Our vintage singer, Nina was quite brilliant and really made the evening.
We drew the line at realism when it came to food and drink, I must confess and I'm sure we all consumed about a year's worth of rations in one evening!
