Through a glass darkly
I do love this saying....to have an imperfect vision of reality. I know it is supposed to mean that we may not see see things clearly now, but we will so at the end of time, but I feel it also can be used to describe the way we perceive situations through windows. The glass that separates the inside from the outside maybe transparent but it can hide so much. I love to look through windows, especially at this time of year when people haven't yet closed their curtains and the darkness is drawing in. We catch snatches of scenes, but we can interpret them in all sorts of ways.....basically I'm nosey and I love to peek into other people's houses as I walk past.
This mish mash of lights is actually a block of flats in Stretford. I faffed around to make it a bit more interesting. I took it as we were loading up the lorry, you could see all the lights....bright lights highlighting lots of little scenes from people's lives. I'm fascinated by different lives, people who live in flats where the set up is the same and yet each place is totally different. Their lives might overlap or just run along each other, but through each window is a story.
Enough waffling....today was very busy and I'm shattered. But...I have a plumber coming on Wednesday to sort my drip through the ceiling. Water is still plink plonking into the bucket every now and then :(
