Day 5 in NYC

Today = 109 photos and a whole day in Brooklyn!
- We moved through Brooklyn from the North to the South, starting with Greenpoint, then Williamsburg, Prospect Height and Park, Fort Greene, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights finishing in DUMBO.
- We had the best breakfast at a restaurant called egg in Greenpoint, and then got shopping! We were looking for presents and small trinkets to take home but it was great fun exploring the different neighbourhoods and chatting to the locals.
- After walking around all day we both began to get hangry and tired so we made a plan for the evening. In DUMBO we got the classic shot of the bridge between the buildings and wandered along the riverside under the bridges. When we were on Pier One (where they make all the dodgy deals in films) we realised a proposal was in process, it was super cute!!
- Maya had read about a cool pizza place on one of the piers so we walked down, not realising quite how far it was and it began to drizzle. One loads of the piers they now have huge covered sports courts that had a crazy backdrop of Manhattan. We attempted to sit on the roof terrace but a massive rain storm rolled in so we moved downstairs. The pizza was pretty average, disappointing for NY, but it was fun watching the storm.
- We decided to risk it when it had passed and as a reward had the most crazy beautiful view of NYC in the sunset. It was breath-taking. It quickly began to rain again so with no other plan (why aren't we 21?!) we jumped on the subway and called it a night.
