Painted lady

Another beautiful sunny day so I did the walk I planned last Friday. Walking along the sandy beach for a couple of miles and then heading along the cliff top. I spotted three of these butterflies in the sunshine but chose this shot as you can see how blue the sky was. The extra shot shows some of the beach I walked along. As I sat on a rock on the beach eating my lunch, I decided life couldn't get much better than this. The tide was way out today, no chance of getting wet feet around the headland.
