To Melbourne

Boarded the plane in the dark at Dubai and took off about 1.45am.  They kept the plane dark most of the way, and we were unaware of sunrise happening somewhere over the ocean.  After 12 hours and 45 minutes of flying (plus some snoozing and watching many films) we landed, in the dark, at Melbourne and were picked up by Sharon's brother for the drive home.  Got to bed around midnight and were asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow...

The London to Dubai leg of the flight was quite quiet, and we had an empty seat next to us, making it easy to get out.  Unfortunately, this longer section to Melbourne was really busy - it would be been better the other way around!
