Bristol Dockyards

Still on our birthday weekend away and head for Bristol. Decided to visit the dockyards and had a fabulous time just wandering around. Much was still boatyards (see extra) but the majority were restaurants and beautifully built apartments and houses. It was a lovely day, marred only by the fact that I had to send my breakfast of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup back twice because they were burnt and ended up not having anything at all!
The workshops were fascinating, and quite emotional, as my late Father did a lot of woodwork and the smells of wood shavings and varnish brought back a lot of memories.
