Middle October

We took a different route around the circuit in the early afternoon light through the sycamore woodland in the valley bottom. A cold north-easterly and clear clear light.

I fiddled around a bit with this - reducing the shadows and highlights and increasing the saturation.

I like the spiky leaves of the native Stinking Iris breaking the highlights on the woodland floor. This place can be a bit spooky with its decaying windblown trees but it didn't feel it today.
