An appreciation of life

This is the view from where I grew up as a kid.
Pretty jolly nice really - not exactly an industrial estate or a grimy slum.
A small New Zealand farm.
In an age before the internet though it felt isolated & as kids across the ages always do we didn't really appreciate it.
Oh to go back to that time with the appreciation of it that you have as an adult.
Today was my mother's birthday - she died 3 years ago, so her birthday gift these days is the flowers that are put on her grave.
A very philosophical blip today about appreciating the things that you have & the people that you have in your life before they aren't there any more.
