Dia de los muertos

It's almost halloween and that was the theme given today, at our local Writers Club, for each of us to write a short Short Story, to be read at a future meeting.
I'm not a fan of what halloween has become but what follows is much more interesting - the day(s) of the dead.
I needed a beer to lubricate the cogs of creativity. Mexican seemed appropriate.
Will I survive to read my story?
