Friendship...

Quick blip today, but one that I think sums up the feeling of friendship - the special kind of friendship where you always know you'll have each others' back.  You know the kind, right?  

Kura and Peg are here and we are waiting the imminent arrival of the fourth member of our "posse", Ellen.  In keeping with a tradition that started 16 years ago, we will bake apple pies and enjoy a feast from the grill tonight.  We will toast our dear friend, Lynn, the fifth member of our group who lost her fight with cancer.  She is always with us in spirit.  

I initially thought to post a photo of the four of us, but I decided that I really like this shot.  It was a quick snap taken while Kura was slaving away over the pie crusts ...just like always!  

And in case you are looking at this and wondering...what the heck is it...it's a double bumble-bee butt shot, with one "bee arm" draped over the other.  

Give your special friends a hug or a phone call - a reminder that you'll always have their back!
