Friday: Night Street

Dinner at my colleagues, S's, tonight.  I took this shot before arriving at her flat, on the off chance that I didn't manage to take any others, so it's just as well I did!  It's just an average Zagreb street.

It was a great evening.  She worked for Associated Press for a long time, including during the Balkans War, and invited a few of her journalist friends with whom she worked at that time.  It was really interesting to hear their 'war stories'.  In many ways, despite the circumstances, it was, as they said, the time of their lives.  I think you find that with journalists, photographers etc. who cover conflict.  Nothing ever quite matches it.
