Daylighting Completed!

After Yoga class this afternoon, I thought about blipping but decided to go straight home instead. I changed my mind when I saw a crowd gathered along Old Fairhaven Parkway next to the Padden Creek daylighting project. I guessed (correctly) that the creek was finally being diverted into its new channel and joined the excited spectators.

We've had very little rain during the last couple of months, so there wasn't much flow -- it took a while to fill the pool in the middle of the picture. The extra photo was taken 35 minutes later.

We need a lot more water for the salmon run next month.
