That's what I feel like -- it was 97F / 36C when we walked over to the Colorado Brewers' Festival just before 11:00am, and 101F / 38.5C when we walked back at 3:00pm. I drank far more cold water than beer, in part because there were no beers that I liked well enough to do more than sample them, but even more because water is what I craved.

We had VIP tickets, which allowed us enter the grounds early, sit under a big open tent with fans blowing on us. Volunteers brought around ice water frequently, and a few special beers were served there, as well as some small tasty snacks. There was live music off and on, so overall, all these amenities made the very hot weather somewhat tolerable.

Our morning was more pleasant. We awoke very early and wanted to make the most of the cooler morning temperatures, so by 7:15am we were at breakfast at an excellent cafe adjacent to our hotel, and then walked a few blocks to the Larimer County Farmers' Market and enjoyed strolling around it. On our way back to the hotel, we came across today's blip, which drew my eye because of its simplicity. This little window was just to the left of this unexpected doorway -- such a small place that only one customer could be served at a time!

Around the corner, and part of the same building, was La Creperie, owned by the same couple who run the bakery. They're on vacation currently, so the bistro is closed, but I hope we can get there for breakfast or lunch on Tuesday, when it reopens again -- I love the decor!

The next three days will be very hot too, so we hope to keep up the early rising pattern so we can enjoy being outside at least some of the time. I don't think we'll be complaining about Bellingham's cool and rainy June weather when we return home!

(Phil saw an unusual light early this morning -- check it out here.)
