River Ness in Inverness this evening.

Stopped to take a photo when I saw some sort of lights rising in the air above the castle. A little Internet research reveals a tragic story of two close friends that appear to have taken their own lives over last weekend. The two lads were only 23 years old, and as part of a vigil for them, Chinese lanterns were being lit and put into the air from the castle grounds (source). Such a sad, sad story.
