But, then again . . . . .

Garden Mint - Flower Friday.

Apart from the weekly shop, it was back to trimming hedges and discussing the possibility of employing a gardener. To my surprise, herself has emailed a possible candidate who, when she sees the work involved, may decide that hse's too busy.

It being Flower Friday, my blip is of some mint growing in our pond. There are a few spiders in their webs just out of shot, I did try photographing one with its lunch but, since there was a lot of unsightly glare off some leaves, I decided to have another go on tiny Tuesday (unless there is a theme that precludes them).
Once again, our host is BikerBear.

The pond is still full  of tadpoles, a few of them have legs but none are well enough developed to leave the water yet; Google suggests that they can survive the winter. Since the survival rate for small pieces of meat on land is not good at the best of times, they are probably safer where they are and, when they do leave the pond next spring, will be bigger and stronger than those that disperse in their first year. The one question for which I haven’t found an answer is, "Will their parents, returning in the spring to spawn, find them to be a tasty snack?"
As they used to say on the radio, “Answers on a postcard, please.”
