Arkansas Black Apples

A few years ago, we planted more fruit trees, mainly for making apple cider and perry. Most of the apples are for juicing, but some are quite versatile, such as this Arkansas Black, a cultivar from the mid 19th century. Picked fresh from the garden (in the rain), isn't it just a gorgeous color!
