Wild Asters
Areas of the bluff above the Lake are left to grow wild & they're full of all sorts of native plants as well as these wild asters....there's just a sea of them--some in this lovely soft pink color, some a deeper purple color & some very pale blue ones. When the petals start to fade they fold up into little masses that look like curliqued ribbon & then they eventually dry up, resembling the shape of those old rollers we used to wear to bed to curl our hair!! (Oh, the pain!) I love all the shapes these produce & while I took some close ups of many of them at different stages, I loved this one of a mass of them in the field! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! TGIF!! :))
