Kerith Real Conference 2012 Saturday
An incredible day spent with hundreds of women all sharing one common purpose.
The Real conference at Kerith ran today as the whole main day, where we were treated to guest speakers Shauna Neiquist, Catrina and Simon Benham. The conference was based around the rhythms of life and why it is important for ourselves to just stop and be, have that hour to read a book, run a bath, do your nails. This really spoke into where I am right now in my season of life. Building a business, teaching photography at college, temping at council, various extra curriculars, staying in touch with friends and acquaintances, meeting ones that are a part of our lives, being a wife, struggling a tiny bit with a health problem. It's realizing that it is OK to say NO to more things/existing things and letting the things go that aren't right for us right now. Not everyone will like that, but then that's their issue to deal with.
It was such an electrifying place to do Saturday with the girls at church. I'm not going into full on details on here (time/place?) but please feel free to get in touch to talk about it more.
It's getting late and I need to go to bed. So thankful for many things tonight, the girls I sat with today, one in particular that was there for me when I got upset about someone we know very well that is going through what my darling Dad went through, for Steve who continues to build my perfect little office and be there for when I got home and chatted his ears off and for the lovely chat I had with Mum tonight. So much.
Sunday is a new day that is going to be very chilled!
