Surprise!

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that our coffee maker gave up the ghost  exactly a month to the day after the warranty had expired.  I'd waited a couple of weeks before phoning to see if the manufacturer would replace it because I was pretty sure we were out of luck, but then thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.  Well, whaddaya know - we got a notice in the mailbox that there was a parcel to be picked up - and it was a brand new coffee maker!  Excellent customer service!
