Splendid Day at Slimbridge

B and I spent a wonderful day at Slimbridge, the flagship site of the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust in Gloucestershire.  We were blessed with glorious weather (having postponed the trip twice previously due to rain showers forecasted).  We spent the day wandering around the many species of ducks, geese and swans,  (not to mention the colourful flamingoes (see extra).  We visited some of the many hides, viewed the whole site from the observatory and sat around in the sun drinking tea and watching the watery antics of the various wildfowl around us.  A wonderful way to spend the day.
