Half Mast

I was 15 when I first met Vince Gaiger. It was a Rugby club function and I thought he was simply the most handsome man I had ever set eyes on.  He must have been about 27 and newly married.

The last time I spoke to him was Thursday last week. So tall and very good looking. We exchanged a friendly greeting.

Last Saturday he died suddenly.
