Charity begins at home.

Met a friend for breakfast this morning and thought we'd pop into the new St. Margaret's Hospice charity home store that's recently opened in Yeovil for a mooch. I've been here before but it was Tara's first visit and, like most people, her eye wad drawn to the many original features and quirky retro fixtures and fittings still remaining.

Set in the grounds of The Old Cinema, one of the most stunning features that they have kept is the amazing art deco domed ceiling which is brought up to date by the colour changing lights now added to it. It's a very restful and calming space crammed full of interesting knick knacks and solid wood furniture. I found some gorgeous little pewter fairies which have come home with me whilst Tara lost hours in the book nook and came away with a beautifully bound classic book to add to her collection. All in all a very enjoyable morning
