Front Runner
Went to Middleham in Wensleydale to meet up with my Blipfather, who had been let out of Norfolk on license.
Brilliant day prancing around blipping; there were so many front runner images...
Richard the Third's castle, with a modern sculpture of Dick and a pig, the township (for that is what it is - apparently - and twinned with Agincourt) and its cobbles, quirky signs and even the album cover for a bootleg release by the local boy (and girl) band.
But the outright winners were the racehorses. There are several studs and trainers' stables and there is a continuous stream of friendly stable-hands riding the horses through the township.
It's a place where the horse is absolutely king - cars, vans and trucks just have to wait. Such truly lovely, majestic and proud animals.
