Going down
Having Harriet here makes such a difference. I was able to nip out to the supermarket this morning for some bits and bobs without having to load up the wheelchair, wrangle Ma into it/around the shop/back into the car etc. So after dealing with Tesco early doors I was definitely up for trying lunch at the garden centre. It was a moderate success in that H and I had something to eat however Ma refused to eat anything. She did drink two cups of tea but then had a bit of a shouting session so we moved on. H bought a new fluffy toy on a stick thing for Roy and promised faithfully to hoover up all the inevitable bits... yeah I know. She is number 4, 16 next month and I still fall for it.
The garden centre is very close to the river so I thought I'd have a look. You can see from the picture how high it rose last night, it certainly isn't as dramatic as the scenes in Hebden Bridge but it is very rare for it to rise that much.
