Morning routine

Morning coffee is such a pleasure for me, not just the enjoyment of drinking but the routine. Choosing which mocka pot to use, grinding the beans and popping the milk on.

A month or so ago I bought Bialetti Tuttocrema, basically a stove top pot for heating milk up in with a plunge lid (not unlike the ones in a cafetiere) that thickens and froths up the milk, and it has transformed my morning coffee.

Fenner was home this morning and so I made us coffee (which is the rule of course). Love this photo, the kitchen still a little dark now at 7am and am looking forward to the really dark and chilly winter mornings.
