Pumpkin Pile

This household is very fond of pumpkin.
Usually roasted but we not averse to pumpkin fritters or pumpkin pie.

At this time of year, many varieties of pumpkins and squashes appear in shops. Farm shops provide particularly fertile hunting grounds.

This trio, which was until recently, four, will be augmented as the season progresses.

The one crop I usually avoid is grown for the Halloween carving brigade and are just orange coloured, tasteless water globules.

The green one on the left will be cooked tonight!
