Umbrella

It was about this time last year when the owner of this wall gave me a bag containing what looked like bits of old root. I didn't have much hope that they would come to much but buried them anyway, and when leaves began to develop in Spring I planted some and potted others. Those planted have been pretty happy for most of the summer but too high up a wall for me to get up-close and personal. This is the first flower from the pots. The pots will soon be re-planted above a different wall.
