the Manager's Residence

Paterson House was built in 1927 for the manager of nearby Halswell Quarry, which ceased operation in 1990.

It was built as a show home to demonstrate the fine qualities of the blue/grey Halswell stone.

Now a heritage building, it is maintained by the City Council, but used for storage only.
