There are some boundaries a woman should not cross. One of these is the doorstep into a West Indian run barber shop. It is strictly the domain of men!

However, Kai being only 2 years old I had to accompany him to get his hair cut. I stood awkwardly in the corner trying and failing to feel inconspicuous (it hadn't occurred to me when I was getting dressed this morning in a bright red top, red earrings and brighter red lipstick, that I might have to look inconspicuous today!)

Kai sat in ceremony as he was shaved and sculpted and sprayed and given royal treatment by a barber who was nothing short of a craftsman.

Since, he keeps telling me he 'looks cool!' He does!
