Before The First Frost

The New England Aster - a tiny little flower on a tall stem.  One of the last newly blooming flowers in autumn.  I love their soft purple and their many little petals, looking pretty hardy at this time of year when the mornings and evenings are cool, though we still have roses and many others showing us that winter has not reached out to grab hold yet.
